Store Uses Han Solo Pose to Sell Denim We all remember the sound of hysterical C-3PO yelling, "Han Solo has been frozen in Carbonite!" (for those of you who aren't familiar with the Empire Striking Back, pretty much this big mafia slug froze the tough good guy, Han Solo (Harrison Ford), in front of all his friends.) Now C 3-PO can freak out once more as he hunts for that perfect pair of jeans. When I was traveling in Vienna, Austria I stumbled across one of the most hilarious and creative Window front displays of my whole existence. Amazing. How did they get them jeans on there? How did they get the rights to use this pose? How would that make you want to buy jeans? Doesn't matter because it's memorable. Check out these similarities! It doesn't just stop there. When googling Han Solo frozen I encountered a number of impressively obsessive fan items. From geeky ice cubes to insane jewelry, a frozen Han Solo is still relevant even 30 years after Star Wars first came out. I can't wait to see Harrison ford in the new Star Wars film (set to come out December 2015). Hopefully stores can use his new poses to display more clothes! Han Solo Ice Cubes Get it? Because he's frozen :D and it's only 10$ at Think Geek. Han Solo Table Pretty much the coolest thing ever. The price isn't listen online so it's going to cost you, but who can put a price on art? I found this gorgeous shinny-to-the-point-where-its-reflective ring online. They retail for $195 which is incredible. One day when I get married I hope I score something like this lil beauty. Much more personal than some blood diamond. Lastly! the stunning Star Wars slim-fitting dress. This one is a little bit intense and it would definitely be better if they only printed one side, or had the front and back view of him, but I'm just pleased this exists. Just kidding Black Milk doesn't make these anymore. Maybe you can try Ebay? I love her tough girl tap dance boots.

My First Menswear Line Fall '14As some of you may know! I showcased a line of traditional Irish inspired dress with more current graphic tee's at San Francisco's Kawaiiland this August. My first non-student fashion show! I also got to operate and vend at my own booth which was very hectic and exciting. KawaiilandThe word Kawaii doesn't refer to the Hawaiin Island, silly. Kawai is the Japanese word for "Cuteness" and this event brought together clothing designers, accessory designers, makeup, and hair artists from all over San Francisco's Bay Area. It was hosted at Ruby Sky in San Francisco on the first saturday of August this year. It was such a blast to meet other designers and for my models to walk down the runway for the first times in their lives. To see other designer's work and learn more, please visit their website below!! The down low on my line: BlarneyWhy Blarney, Why Kilts, Why Kawaai? Named for the famous Blarney Stone in Ireland that tourists kiss to be blessed with the "Gift of Gab" meaning you'll become more talkative after kissing it. I kissed it when I went to Ireland with my family in the summer of 2002, later finding out that the locals pee on it as a F U to tourists. That's what that smell was.. So I've always loved kilts, I find them incredibly attractive especially when you see men wearing them in modern day. It takes someone bold and brave to rock a kilt. The first guy I dirty danced with was wearing a kilt. Our 8th grade homecoming dance, I wore a Black Gothic Lolita dress and he wore a white collared shirt and a stunning Kilt. Beautiful. My 80% recycled fabric line I had a slowly growing collection of old plaids laying around and have always wanted to incorporate them into a line somehow. I gathered up more fabric at my happy place, SCRAP in San Francisco's Bayview because all of their supplies is used, its dirt cheap and the proceeds go to a number of great causes. I can't believe I've never plugged them before, but do check them out! I also designed two plaids on Spoonflower a great resource for all designers, creative folks, or anyone with a project. I took snapshots of a video my dad shot of our Ireland trip and made them all kaleidescope epic so they could go on my shirts. You can buy the fabric designs on their website! And do check the site out, it's amazing! The night of the Fashion show we drank, ate pizza and pocky(provided by the sponsors) took photos in the basement and with the coat check man's doggy. My friends walked in their first runway show ever! One model said before he went on stage his hands were shaking and his lip got stiff, but once he was in the spot light the girls in the audience went insane screaming like freaks, he loved the rush. He was later con acted by two other designers who wante d to have him model their clothing. Dreams do come true! I'm so proud of my models, grateful that Kawaiiland found me on Etsy and glad my friends could come out and witness my first show! For the rest of you, here are the pictures from that night. Stay Tuned for the music video coming out in a few weeks!!! Super Kawaii!
