So, I planned my wedding

Glamour Closet         
​ As you may know I work in Bridal now so I ask women all day about their wedding game plan. Epic ideas like: getting married in Iceland, Castles in France, receptions on yachts, crowd surfing in their dresses and Dalmatian ring bearers are nice inspiration. So thusly, I've completely planned out my legit/hypothetical love event celebration as detailed below. Enjoy.

I'm currently single, however! If I had to choose, I'd opt for...
A NATIVE AMERICAN

I think it would be cool to marry a Native American. They are gorgeous but especially because our kids would get sweet college scholarships.

Woman or man. Don't matter.

Venue

I'm catholic so need to get married in a church. If I wasn't, I'd forsure get married under a waterfall or over looking an insane cliff/rock structure!!!

I would love to get hitched in a Spanish Mission.
​ The older, the better!

But as you may know the "Missionaries" weren't always so nice to the natives.
75% of Californian natives were wiped out
while Spain ruled the South West (from 1737-1848). America claimed the South Western Territories then continued to annihilate 80% of the remaining population until the last of the tribes were a mere
​2% of their original size.

I will try and find a mission
​that has a less disturbing past, becauseI feel genocide, deceit and torture ...
​that would cast a bad shadow onto my beautiful wedding.
Either I'll get married in a mission that was nicer to the American Indians or!
I can get married in one that had a
​big, wildly exciting, uprising against the Spaniards.

Like Santa Ynez! Where 2, 000+ Native Californians from different regions staged an attack an overthrew the Spanish.

Moving on to outfits!

I'd obviously dress up like a
FLOWERING SPANISH ROSE,
and my partner in their
tribe's native regalia. Maybe traditional Yup'ik!
The bridespeople on my side would have a
subtle native american theme for their dresses/suits.
They can chose their getups as long as they have temporary chin tattoos of the plains people, ornately beaded anything, sweet northern styled accessories,
​a feather bowtie or a finely feathered dress/element. 

I would have my
little brother and or my best friend from 5th grade 
be my maid or man of honor.
They would have slightly more epic ensembles then the other brides peoples
My three best guy friends, from college and my
three closest girl cousins
would make up my entourage and any young kids in my family or friend group are welcome to parade up with rings and flowers. 

The ring bearers and flower folk won't be specifically all boys or all girls.
They also can wear non-gender-specific outfits.

The men on my parter's side would look something like Tarzan in a suit. More European/Spanish styled with a hint of vintage appeal. 

The women on the other side would be more,
modern, minimal, and a bit androgynous looking while clearly being
Spanish reminiscent without stealing the thunder
​that is my smouldering feminine Spanish ensemble.

My bridal gown

Clearly I need to travel to mothership, Nicaragua for my Mantilla
​(Traditional Spanish lace Viel).

I'll Heavily intricate around the floor and face, but more simplistic in the midst because you have to see the details of my amazing dress.

and I'll go to the motherland, El Salvador for my artisan made leather shoes.
(Can not be made of mass produced leather/​sourced from mistreated cows like U.S. manufactured brands)

I want a sheath dress made from
full crocheted black lace.
It needs to help translate that I am..

Mother of the Bride

Mama saw my post and demanded that
she get to wear white lace and a Tiara. She'll wear the traditional irish/celtic/maybe Indian costume,
like the one seen below.
She's also going to wear a Claddagh ring.

I would have some
faux flower expert
craft up some homemade dandelions
and cluster them into a bouquet for me.
Dandelions, formally known as "wishers", 
the Dr. Suessical puffy plant in which people 
blow the fluff off to grant wishes.
I also like that these are technically weeds.

I wouldn't throw it,
I'd have it in some sort of cage/treasure chest with a padlock.
Everyone gets a key,
but only one key opens it.
This levels the playing field so the flowers go to one winner at random. 
Not just the most
​eager/long armed/highest hops having
wedding guest. 

Music

Clearly I would have the
Soweto Gospel Quior
perform when I walk down the isle.
I've already used their song "Baba Yetu" for my
​Thunder of Ancients runway show, and it was AWESOME!!! 

  They have english songs, but mostly sing in 6 of the 11 
South African languages 
​and their harmonies are ganna enhance
my natural beauty
and leave
NO DRY EYES IN THE HOUSE!
Also members of my church in Vallejo and SF would be more than welcome to sing with them.

For the reception I'd have friends play live music and DJ
so they can get more exposure.
I also wouldn't be opposed to karaoke late in the night.

food

What's a Knish?

I used to work for this
Mediterranean (Jewish) food stand.
They took me to Coachella music festival a bunch of times for free.
So I'd hire them to
set up shop
for everyone for free for a few hours.
Then they would join the party and drink and dance all they please.
They are super nice
​and the food is
Organic, Kosher or Vegan and tastes amazing!

They have chicken shwarma, falafel wraps, fried chicken, garlic fries,
three types of hot dogs,
​and spinach/potatoe knish.
Sooo good!

Drinks

I haven't decided on drinks yet. 

Cake

Nothing to crazy, forsure homemade.
​Cheesecake would be epic. 

Lots of leafy decor? Less frosting? Yes!
Cake tasting does sound like one of the best experiences of planning a wedding.

I would absolutely adore
​a skeleton couple cake topper.

Day of the dead is a style I've always loved.

​Especially If we do a "Beauty and the Beast" glass topper thing.

​photoshoot

I would get traditional wedding dresses from
India, China, and Thailand 
and be captured in a few photoshoots during a fun
prewedding airtrip adventure.
This will be released as our
"Save the Date"
I chose these cultures because they have the most gorgeous out of all the traditional gowns hands down.

Like this except we will be epicly dressed and in jungly countries.

CHINESE
Traditional wedding dresses from china are usually,
red, the luckiest color,
​one known to ward away bad spirits.
They can't have too much blue, black or grey,
​because those colors could bring sorrow to a marriage.
Gowns
​usually include dragons
to show power and
the phoenix,
to show the balance between male and female power. 

THAI
Originally,
formal dress in Thailand wasn't traditionally meant to be worn once,
so the wedding dresses
(usually made from Thai silk)
are versatile and often created from wrapping, pinning and tying pieces together rather than sewing.
Most Thai people prefer not to waste
such a beautiful garment
by only wearing it once and will re-wear parts for special occasions. 

INDIAN
I mean, my plan used to be
to go to India and seduce someone just so I could have
my own indian wedding.
Nothing compares to the ornate metallic applique, the colors, the henna, the veils and the jewelry adorned by Indian brides.

Earrings

I'll get my ears pierced for my wedding and let the holes close up afterwards. I've never worn earrings but I can see myself leaning towards
​feathers or crystals

The ring

So clearly I wouldn't buy a diamond.
For obvious (Blood Diamonds, exploitation and gang warfare)
and less obvious reasons (Diamonds aren't that rare).

can money buy love?

I'll leave you with a gallery of

I wouldn't say no to a diamond ring from vintage times,
passed down from a family member or super valuable and antique.

I'm so down with snake rings.
​This one above reminds me of
the sacred golden buddha amulet necklaces I saw in Thailand. 

Tangled snakes also reminds me of Never Ending story,
one of the best movies of all time.
This sacred seal protected Atreyu from harm. He ended up loosing it in the river of sadness, later to find that his dragon rescued it.

I also like snakes because
they remind me of Adam and Eve,
​not the most romantic tale, but whatevs.
